For years I had dabbled with woodwork, creating sculptural pieces, jewelry and wall art for family and friends. When the recession of '08 severely challenged my boat lettering work, I had to scramble to supplement my income. At one point people encouraged me to pursue this avenue more seriously, which led me to where I am today with my fine artwork. The foundation of my art is wood from trees that once grew in Lake Havasu, AZ. Whether it be from a tree trimmer friend, visiting properties with fallen, wind-blown trees, being Johnny-on-the-spot when trees are being cut down in town, or visiting a local depository for landscapers. The FINE ART button below will lead you to pieces ranging from abstract sculpture, to wall art, to turned bowls, vases & hollowforms, to rusty metal yard art. The JEWELRY & ACCESSORIES button is self-explanatory, where the accessories could range from money clips and barrettes, to key rings and bottle stoppers.
ps. I am open to custom commission work!
